Privacy

How we handle your information. Last updated June 2026.

The short version

Career That Lasts is built to help you plan — not to harvest your data. In this demo, the information you enter stays in your browser. We don't sell your data, and we never guarantee employment.

What we store, and where

Your Career Scan, saved jobs, applications, and roadmaps are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). They are not uploaded to a server in demo mode. If you create an account, only your email, name, and a securely hashed password are stored server-side — never your scan answers or resume.

Your resume

The Resume Optimizer processes the text you paste to generate feedback, then discards it. We do not retain your raw resume unless you explicitly choose to save a copy. Avoid pasting sensitive personal information (e.g., government IDs) — it isn't needed for the analysis.

AI-risk scores

Risk and match scores are educational estimates generated by a model, not predictions or guarantees about any specific job. They're meant to help you plan, not to make decisions for you.

Clearing your data

Because your content lives in your browser, you can remove it any time by clearing this site's local storage, or by using the in-app controls to delete a scan or tracked applications.
